Paying money into a sterling account by sterling cheque or draft

• Cheques or drafts should be made payable to the account holder(s) or Nationwide International Ltd
• When sending a cheque or draft please quote your name and account number
• Sterling cheques and drafts drawn on a UK bank start to earn interest on the third working day following receipt and are available for withdrawal on the tenth working day
• Sterling cheques issued by Nationwide Building Society (excluding personal cheques drawn on a Nationwide Building Society FlexAccount), are available for withdrawal on the day of receipt and start to earn interest on the following day
• Please note that we can't accept cheques made payable to third parties and for security reasons, we're unable to accept travellers cheques or cash by post
• Cheques drawn on a non-UK bank must be endorsed by the account holder(s) on the reverse side of the cheque
