Paying money into a sterling account by Direct Electronic Transfer (Telegraphic Transfer) from a bank outside the UK

You can send money in any currency from a bank outside the UK by asking the remitting bank to send the payment by SWIFT quoting the following details:

HSBC, Douglas, Isle of Man
MIDLGB22
01238051
GB33MIDL40193801238051
Nationwide International Limited
Your Nationwide International Sterling Savings Account number and your name

When transferring funds to Nationwide International from a bank outside of the UK, it is essential that you provide our SWIFT code and, if the payment comes from within Europe, it must include our International Bank Account Number (IBAN). If you don’t provide our SWIFT and IBAN (when applicable), your payment might be delayed, subject to additional charges or even rejected. Our Sterling IBAN and SWIFT codes can be found in the table above.

Funds received from a bank outside the UK will start to earn interest on the next working day following receipt.
