Paying Sterling into a Nationwide International account by Direct Electronic Transfer (Telegraphic Transfer) from a bank within the UK Electronic transfers are a fast and convenient way to deposit funds, however your bank may make charges for this service depending on the way you choose to transfer your payment. Charges generally apply to payments made via CHAPS whereas no charge is made for payments via BACS and Faster Payments. You can send any Sterling funds from within the UK by asking the remitting bank to send the payment quoting all of the following details:
Payments received before 12.00 noon on a working day will start earning interest immediately. Funds received after 12.00 noon will start earning interest on the following working day. When making a standing order payment you will also need to advise your banker of your required regular deposit amount, preferred payment date and chosen interval i.e. monthly, bi-monthly, half yearly etc.
